Aisling Fitzgibbon: Moving From Fear To Trust

Updated: Nov 18, 2022

... to really love myself in this moment was the hardest thing ever because all my thought patterning at the time was, 'I don't want to be here, I'm worthless, what's the point of my life?'. Our society only values us when we are doing and productive. People are looking at you like you're just making it up, but it's the hardest thing in the world just to be in that (dark) space. - Aisling Fitzgibbons

STORY

I suffered burn out when I was 19 and had a complete collapse where I couldn't get out of bed. I ended up going to a psychiatrist who put me on antidepressants which I stayed on for 4 1/2 years. I trained as an OT from 20 -23 years and at the end of my degree, I was completely burned out and didn't have the energy to apply for a job and knew I had to get my health back. I went to a Nutritionist and owner of the College of Natural Nutrition in the UK and opened up to a whole new reality of healing and health and I came off medication and got my health back. My healing journey led me to discover my new calling to train as Nutritionist which brought me on my spiritual journey which I'm expanding into each day.

Additional notes about the talk:

Aisling and I talk a lot about the idea of contraction and expansion in our lives, and how even in times of difficulty, it's possible to release tension, embrace it and be in a place of opening up instead of closing down. Aisling uses food as part of her method of creating a higher vibration body that can more easily adjust to various situations. She talks about the Medical Medium, an alternative healer that I take issue with but we had an open an honest discussion about allowing yourself to be your best true guide and not relying solely on 'gurus' to show you the way. At the end of the day, moving from fear to trust is about trusting YOURSELF to make the right decisions for you in this time, in this body, in this situation.
