#straightfromcait: Sitting In the Muck with Your Emotions

Hi Fried Fam,

This episode contains an excerpt from The Bouncebackability Factor: End Burnout, Gain Resilience, and Change the World (my book!) about sitting in the muck :)

Sitting in the muck is a necessary part of burnout recovery that most of us would like to avoid and if we believe the hype out there, we can avoid it if we just do all the right things all the time. I call bullshit. Some days, some weeks, some months even are just, well, mucky.

Sitting in the muck doesn't mean wallowing - it means meeting yourself where you are and not trying to sugar coat things. Shit with a caramel drizzle on top is still shit. This can feel like a dangerous thing to do - what if you get stuck in the muck?

That's what help is for. There is SO MUCH SUPPORT and help out there. If you're afraid the muck has gone on too long, get some help. Start with friends, move out to community, and then hire someone if you're able.

Here at FRIED, I (Cait) offer 1:1 coaching, corporate events, and keynote speeches to people and audiences every day. You can book a call with me at: bit.ly/callcait

This episode sheds light on a bunch of places where you can get support, with some creative solutions you might not have thought of before.

FRIED also offers a FB community, come join us: https://facebook.com/groups/friedtheburnoutpodcast

See you there :)
